From the front desk to the flight deck—how Takeoff Studios was born.
I’m Wally Perdomo, the founder of Takeoff Studios. Long before this was my full-time career, I was building websites on the side—helping friends, small businesses, and anyone who needed a digital presence. What began as a creative outlet in 2012 slowly grew into a passion and a skill set I couldn’t ignore.
In 2020, my path took a sharp turn. I was dismissed from flight school during the pandemic, losing access to the funding I needed to pursue my dream of becoming an airline pilot. I was working front desk at a hotel for $15/hour and knew I had to create my own opportunity. That’s when I officially launched Takeoff Studios.
While working my way up to Assistant General Manager at a Hilton hotel, I built this business client by client—offering website design, branding, and creative support. By 2022, we had helped our first 10 clients generate over $250,000 in collective sales.
Today, I’ve left hotel management behind. I run Takeoff Studios full-time while continuing my aviation journey as a commercial pilot working toward my Certified Flight Instructor certificate. Through this business, I’ve funded my own flight training—and helped other entrepreneurs grow theirs.
